Renee Gilmore
Memoir, October 2025
Renee M. Gilmore is a neurodivergent multi-genre writer, essayist, and poet. She writes about growing up in a small town, and fearlessly explores the illusion of happiness. With a BA from the University of New Mexico and an MA from Hamline University, her work has been featured in The Louisville Review, The Museum of Americana, Fatal Flaw, The Raven Review, and Pink Panther, among others. Renee loves to travel, and has been to all seven continents. Experiencing other places and other cultures feeds her creativity (and love of good food!) Renee is a fan of F1 racing and car shows, and lives in suburban Minneapolis with her husband Steven. Unlike the rest of her car-loving family, her red car is perpetually overdue for an oil change.
